Trouble and Hope: A DVD Anthology
($15, Poetry Atlanta Press). Poetry Atlanta spent more than two years compiling this documentary of the city’s noted poets in performance and conversation. Included are Pulitzer Prize-winner Natasha Trethewey, Alice Lovelace, Karen Head, Beth Gylys, Jon Goode, Megan Volpert, Amena Brown and a special performance by late spoken word artist, Shannon Leigh. Images of America: Buckhead by Susan Kessler Barnard ($21.99, Arcadia Publishing). Arcadia Publishing continues its series on Atlanta with a book solely dedicated to Buckhead. The book is packed with historic illustrations, photographs and stories stretching from 1821 through the 1950s.
