Atlanta Pride at the Civic Center
The annual GLBT (gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, transgender) festival has moved from Piedmont Park to the Civic Center, July 4-6, but expect a packed weekend of music, art, food and the Pride Parade. Festival hours: 6-11 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday. The parade steps off from the intersection of Piedmont Avenue and 10th Street in front of Outwrite Books at 1 p.m. and will make its way down Peachtree before turning left on Ralph McGill. There will be entertainment throughout the weekend on outdoor stages, including 80s dance diva Tiffany, and on the Civic Center stage with a concert by Expose, Thelma Houston, CeCe Peniston and Frenchie Davs. For a complete schedule visit www.atlantapride.org.
