Atlanta Habitat for Humanity Marks Milestone

Former President Jimmy Carter, First Lady Rosalynn Carter and Mayor Shirley Franklin were on hand as Atlanta Habitat for Humanity leaders, volunteers from the community, corporate, civic and faith-based supporting organizations turned out for Habitat's 1,000th and 1,001st house builds.

Located side by side at 2079 and 2083 Lakewood Trail in the Lakewood Commons neighborhood, the house builds took place over 8 days in November. As one of the city’s most productive affordable housing builders, Atlanta Habitat celebrated the achievement of constructing 1,000 homes in its 25th year
