Downhill Challenge Draws Crowd

More than 700 people turned out to watch the third annual Atlanta Downhill Challenge on Saturday, Nov.15, at the Starlight Drive-In on Moreland Avenue. There were 48 carts entered in the soap box derby-style race, and the event raised more than $1,500 for the non-profit oganizatios PALS Atlanta, Forgotten Paws, WonderRoot and Atlanta Transit.
For those who have asked about the young driver who was injured in a crash during the event, he was treated overnight and has recovered. The family has asked for pivacy and that his name not be released.
