The Atlanta Apartment Association (AAA) will host the annual Can Ban Ball on Friday, Aug. 26, to raise money for the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB).

The gala will be a red carpet, black tie optional affair, and will carry a theme of “Can Can Film Festival.”  For over 25 years, members of the AAA – owners, managers and associates – have joined together to support the ACFB in an effort to fight hunger.

In 2010 participation and donations helped raise $157,800, which enabled ACFB to provide approximately 252,480 pounds of food per month to feed children, adults and seniors in the community. Thanks to the annual Food Drive and the Can Can Ball, this has become the largest food drive in the country.

Guest at the Can Can Ball will dance the night away to live music, while enjoying an array of tasty bites from a number of Atlanta area restaurants. There will be a silent auction, cash bar and a few special surprises throughout the evening. There may even be some “star” sightings.

Ticketsare $75 per person and 100 percent of all proceeds are donated to ACFB. The event will take place from 8 p.m. to midnight at The Sheraton Atlanta Hotel downtown. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit cancanball.org.
