If you have a car you don’t want, there are ways you can get rid of it. If it doesn’t run, or needs a lot of repairs, it will be difficult to sell it. You can have a junk yard haul it away, but you may only receive a few dollars. Another option is to donate your car to charity and receive a tax deduction of at least $500.

There are many deserving charities in the greater Atlanta area you can donate your car to. Some of those charities include: Cancer Navigators, Canine Assistants, the Girl Scouts of greater Atlanta and Teach for America – Atlanta. These charities are represented by Cars4Charities, which will accept cars “dead or alive.”  The only requirements are that you have a title, it not be stripped of parts, and it is in a place where it can easily be towed.
