BaconFest, the annual event benefiting Dad’s Garage, is  Saturday, March 26,  from 1 to 6 p.m. Slated to be twice the size and with more porcine-themed festivities than ever before, all proceeds will benefit Dad’s Garage, a nonprofit theater that engages, cultivates and inspires artists and audiences alike by producing innovative, scripted and improvised works that are recognized locally, nationally and internationally for being undeniably awesome. Tickets start at $25 and are on sale now for ages 21 and up at dadsgarage.com.

For five straight hours, attendees can enjoy copious amounts of bacon compliments of Vortex Bar & Grill , cold beer, nonstop entertainment and a silent auction. Past games include: Hunt an Improviser (a.k.a. hurling water balloons at improvisers), X-rated face painting, consultations with Dr. Boobies, and Hobo Wine Tastings. Live music performances at this year’s event include local artists: Mike LaSage and the Stumbling Troubadours, the Young Orchids, Darling Norman and more. The entertainment will also include the coronation of this year’s official Bacon King and Queen.

New to this year, BaconFest will offer a special “Go Whole Hog!” VIP ticket option that gives festival goers exclusive access to a whole pig roasted by the BBQ masters at P’cheen and brews by Georgia’s own Wild Heaven Craft Beers. Additionally, Whynatte, Condesa Coffee, King of Pops and Diesel Filling Station are just a few of the local businesses that have jumped on board to provide tastings and special offerings for attendees.
