Submitted by collin on Tuesday, 16 November 2010No Comment

CD_coverAtlanta-based nonprofit organization Community Arts Live has gathered together twelve local and regional artists for a one of a kind limited edition CD of holiday music to benefit the Atlanta Humane Society.  The Indigo Girls, Francine Reed, Big Mike Geier & Kingsized, Yacht Rock Revue, Stovall, Jennifer Daniels, Soulphonics & Ruby Velle, Gringo Star, Blair Crimmins & the Hookers, Oryx and Crake, Caroline & the Ramblers, and songwriter/poet Kodac Harrison all contributed their renditions of holiday favorites or originals for the cause.  The CD, entitled All Creatures Great and Small, is presented by local doggie daycare Wag-A-Lot.

“When I said it was for the Atlanta Humane Society, everyone was quick to jump on board,” says Boyd Baker, founder of Community Arts Live and the mind behind the Holiday Twelve project. “The outpouring of help from folks reminds me what a great community we have here in Atlanta and how much they believe in the work of the Atlanta Humane Society,” he goes on to say.

Wag-A-Lot’s All Creatures Great and Small will be released on Nov. 26 and will be available through  Dec. 27 for download and at metro Best Buy locations with over 90 percent of the proceeds going directly to the Atlanta Humane Society.  Go to www.TheHolidayTwelve.com for more information on the artists and songs and sign up to be one of the first to get a copy.
