Atlanta’s Chabad Intown offers three exciting and completely unique Chanukah celebrations, beginning with the second year of their Chanukah Wonderland on Sunday, Dec. 5, from noon to 7 p.m. at the Intown Jewish Preschool (604 Cooledge Avenue NE).  The event will feature 1000 square feet of Chanukah activities, including face painting, Chanukah Theater, computer center, crafts, Atlanta’s largest dreidel, and more.  Children can even learn how real olive oil is made, and have a chance to squeeze olives into fresh oil using an authentic olive press, just like the ancient Maccabbees.

Later that evening, at 5 p.m. Chabad Intown will host their annual lighting of the giant Menorah on the corner of Virginia and N. Highland (in the parking lot of Yeah! Burger).  The celebrations continue the following day, on Dec. 6, from 5 to 7 p.m., with Chanukah On Ice at Park Tavern’s rink, where there will be Jewish music, hot latkes, and a grand Menorah Lighting on the ice at 5:30.  Tickets for The Rink at Park Tavern are $10 and must be purchased in advance here.
