Georgia State University’s 2010 GSU Arts Fair will be held on the downtown campus, Wednesday, Oct. 20, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  This free festival will spread out on sidewalks all across the Fairlie-Poplar district of downtown Atlanta, in the vicinity of Forsyth and Poplar Streets, and including the Rialto Center for the Arts.

The Arts Fair showcases the arts at Georgia State University, featuring representatives from the Rialto Center for the Arts, School of Music, Welch School of Art & Design, CENCIA (Center for Collaborative and International Arts), Five Points magazine, the Creative Writing program, the Art Student Union and more.  Activities include live jazz music, visual art by students, face painting, sidewalk chalk, free food and more.  This year’s festivities will also feature the Rialto’s “Feed Your Senses” program, a live performance of Mexican Huasteca music presented from 12 – 1 p.m. in the Rialto Lobby.
