holiday giftWe need your help choosing nominees for Atlanta INtown’s Best of the Holidays 2010. Over the next month, we’ll be seeking your opinions on the best places to shop, dine, where to see incredible holiday lights, where to see the best Santa Clause and much more. From your suggestions, we’ll pick three nominees for a final vote in late October and early November. The winners will be featured in our December edition. Your picks should be located inside the Perimeter.  Please post your ideas in the comment section of this post.

The gift shop at Oakland Cemetery has some unique items that you won’t find at the mall shops. Plus its cool to shop in a graveyard.

Traders in EAV has cool stuff for the home and neat little cards and gifts. Support the local stores!

Heliotrope in Decatur gets my vote.

Ten Thousand Villages has items that are hand-crafted by artists all over the world. It’s a unique place to shop for something unexpected.

I see someone else has already said Traders but it’s worth repeating.

Doguroo in Midtown is the best place to shop for pets and board your dog any time of year. Tons of pet essentials, especially all-natural foods, collars & leashes, treats, toys, etc. The staff is terrific.

I board my dogs at Doguroo and even have their picture taken with Santa there every year. Santa didn’t even mind that my dogs wanted to lick his beard off! They have unique, well made, doggie holiday gifts. I think last year I filled up my dog’s stocking there. :)

Holy Innocents’ Jingle Bell Jubilee is Dec. 4-5 on the campus i Sandy Springs. Decorated trees, wreaths and gingerbread houses…specialty vendors…crafts for kids…visit from Santa! You can also order fragrant, embellished evergreen wreaths, in different styles, in advance, beginning now! Email: donna.mason@timestar.com

Piece of Cake has great cupcakes, cakes, and slices plus it’s easy to stop by one of their stores at the last minute. I use them a lot for work gifts and my kid’s teachers love them.
