Atlanta Arts FestivalReturning to Piedmont Park Sept. 18-19, the 4th Atlanta Arts Festival combines a mix of artwork from some of the nation’s most renowned artists. Ranked among the top 200 art festivals in the country in sales for both fine art and fine craft by The Art Fair Sourcebook, the Festival has grown by leaps and bounds over the past four years. This fall’s festival includes 200 artists in 12 different mediums, artist demonstrations, live music and much more.

More than 700 artists from across the country applied this year – the Festival’s largest pool of applicants to date. A panel of jurors selected 200 eclectic participants for the Artist Market, who will be announced shortly. Each year the festival also produces a poster commemorating a participating artist’s work. The 2009 poster by Douglasville resident Richard Jacobus, was recognized by Sunshine Artist Magazine, the country’s premier arts and craft show magazine, receiving the award of “Most Whimsical” poster art.

“Atlanta has consistently been ranked among the top 10 ‘Big Cities’ on American Styles Magazine’s ‘Top 25 Arts Destinations,’ and I think both our amazing artists and Festival-goers contribute to making Atlanta the diversely cultured city that it is,” says Julie Tepp, Director of Atlanta Arts Festival.  “Patrons really enjoy the interactive nature of Atlanta Arts Festival – that’s why we encourage everyone to express their creative side and truly experience the Festival.”
