Submissions for Rescued Pet Idol have closed and the public will be able to vote starting Sunday, Aug. 1, when our e-Edition goes live on the site. With 30 entries — featuring both dogs and cats — we can tell you it’s going to be a hard decision, because there are some seriously cute pets in the competition along with compelling rescue stories. Readers will have seven days to cast their ballots to pick the next Rescued Pet Idol.

The first place winner will receive some great prizes, include a $225 Doggie Daycare Package from Piedmont Bark, $200 Vaccine Package from Briarcliff Animal Clinic and gift certificates from Animal House and Highland Pet. The two runners-up will also receive gift certificates and a special deal on Heartguard Plus products at Vaccines ‘N More.
