Submitted by collin on Saturday, 1 May 2010No Comment

BicycleDowntown Atlanta’s celebration of all things cycling is back for its third year on Wednesday, May 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Woodruff Park.

Whether you are a veteran cyclist, or haven’t ridden a bike since you were a pre-teen, the Atlanta BikeFest has something for you. This year’s outdoor event will  feature information booths on bicycle safety, maintenance, and different types of bikes including which one is the best fit for you, new technology, and tips on how to maximize the health benefits of cycling. Bring your bike, show off your style, and take part in the bike-friendly fun. The event is free! For more information, visit this link.

The Atlanta Bicycle Coalition (previously Campaign) is a membership-based nonprofit advocate for better bicycling in the Atlanta area. Atlanta’s largest member-based bicycle advocacy organization, Atlanta Bicycle Coalition creates better conditions for biking, provides Confident City Cycling classes that teach people to ride safely, offers programs to break down the barriers to cycling, educates drivers and cyclists on how to share the road, and strives to make Atlanta a bike-friendly, greener community. Visit www.atlantabike.org for more information.
