STATE Govt Please DO NOT take the little money that the ARTS have away for education and stressless living. And everyone please donate to the charity organizations that you love, at least $1 every year; it goes a long way!

The arts are NOT a luxury. It's a vital part of education for the community. Your response is typical, Republican speak. If the state had rethought is priorities, stopped spending millions on per diem and pork barrel projects then we wouldn't be in this mess. The Republican party has driven this state financially into the ground and there appears to be no bottom.

Sad but true - in these terrible economic times, luxuries must be eliminated in favor of necessities. The state is in the process of cutting funds to fire departments, law enforcement, and public education - certainly more important nto the welfare of the community than the pleasure of enjoying the arts. Reset your priorities using the head, not the heart.
