Social NetworkingAre you the right internship candidate to develop Atlanta Intown Media’s digital presence? Take this short quiz:

  • You live intown and you’re all about local?
  • You have forward thinking ideas about the future of hyper-local media?
  • You have a technical side and, your Facebook page confirms, a social side?

If you answered yes to those questions read on. Atlanta Intown Media is a hyper-local news source using social media, a website, a newspaper, events and promotions to connect with the neighborhood. We are looking for someone to work with us this summer to expand avenues in how we market local businesses.

Our advertisers are a group of diverse businesses, from serving gelato to selling a home. They are also our friends and an important part of our business and community, so we want them to succeed. This project is part of our ongoing work to offer the most productive and targeted marketing tools.

This summer project has several components. To increase our email database: develop initiatives to build traffic and subscribers. To create new opportunities: research other cities’ local digital media to identify their ingenuity and make recommendations. And, to develop strategies for online advertising: work with the sales team, build content/message, and promotions.

If you have basic web and html skills (especially using WordPress); ability to write; familiarity with online media sales; confidence and curiosity to network; and are free this summer, email why you think this would be a good internship for you to: wendy@atlantaintownpaper.com.

This project can have flexible hours. We can work with your college or university for class credit.
