Atlanta Home Show opens today
The Spring Atlanta Home Show is this weekend, March 19-21, at the Cobb Galleria. The event offers exhibits from over 300 local home improvement companies, as well as seminars on a variety of topics. Guest speakers and hands-on demonstrations will provide attendees with tips and advice on cooking, gardening, home repair, decorating, recreation, aging in place and other subjects related to home remodeling and home improvement. There are activities for children, live radio broadcasts and culinary demonstrations.
New this year will be the “Total Wine Experience”, a wine-tasting area for adults sponsored by Total Wine & More. Proceeds will benefit Travelers Aid of Metro Atlanta. The home show will also offer an Artists’ Market, where attendees can meet local artists, see them create in a variety of mediums and purchase their works.
Walter Reeves and Dave Baker will broadcast their WSB-AM radio shows, The Lawn and Garden Show and The Home Fix-It Show, respectively, live from the Show Saturday morning. Reeves will also speak Friday, March 19, at noon. He will join a roster of speakers that includes TV personality Joe Washington, HGTV’s Kimberly Lacy, “Green Guru” Rocco Sinisgalli and others.
Hours for the show are Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 6 p.m. Adult tickets are $10. Children 12 and under and adults 65 and older are admitted FREE. Two-day passes are available for $15. Visit www.AtlantaHomeShow.com for a full line up of events.
