Intown Academy announces July opening

Intown Academy The Intown Academy – a tuition-free, community-based, public charter school serving kindergarten through 8th grade students who reside inside the Atlanta Public Schools boundaries – plans to open on July 14.

The Intown Academy will explore and celebrate cultural differences in an academically challenging, nurturing, intentional and multi-ethnic environment.

The Founding Board said he school’s mission: Every child is uniquely gifted, can learn and achieve, and can reach for the highest goals.  From our teachers, to our principal, to the administrative staff, everyone will help identify each child’s strengths and capitalize on their learning experiences to develop their talents to the fullest.

In keeping with The Intown Academy grassroots development as a true community-based public charter school, parents, students, the school’s team of educators and staff, and EdisonLearning will work together to create an educational center of excellence that embodies the diversity, creativity, and the global and entrepreneurial character of its surrounding intown communities.
