holiday3The city of Decatur has some fantastic holiday events lined up this season.  Here’s some of what’s coming up:

Dec. 3, 10, 17: Terrific Thursdays

On “Terrific Thursdays” in Decatur, participating shops and restaurants stay open late and offer a variety of discounts, receptions, book signings, and much more.  The Pedicab will offer free rides on Thursdays from 5 until 9 p.m.  For more information, visit www.DecaturGA.com.

Thursday, Dec. 17: Bonfire/Marshmallow Roast, 7-8 p.m.

On the evening of Dec. 17, Downtown Decatur will be all aglow with the light from a giant community bonfire on the town square.  Stop by the fire to roast some marshmallows with the family before heading to the Community Bandstand to visit Santa.

Saturday, Dec. 19: Breakfast With Santa, 8-10 a.m.

The Holiday Inn Decatur Conference Center will give children the opportunity to dine with Santa Claus after he makes a grand entrance on a Decatur fire truck.  $12 adult admission and $7 children’s admission includes a commemorative photo with Santa.  This event is sponsored by the Decatur Business Association and tickets are available online at www.DecaturBA.com.
