Submitted by collin on Wednesday, 28 October 2009No Comment

Eco BriefsThe City of Atlanta has just announced a new incentive-based recycling program, the fruit of the city’s partnership with Rehrig Pacific and Coca Cola Enterprises.  The new program, powered by RecycleBank, allows environmentally aware households to earn points redeemable at retailers in exchange for recycling.

To celebrate the launch of this new program, city officials, Rehrig Pacific, Coca Cola, and RecycleBank will gather at The World of Coca Cola’s Pemberton Place (the Greenspace between the World of Coca-Cola and the Georgia Aquarium) on Thursday, Oct. 29 at 10 a.m. to give remarks and answer questions about the new program.  The event will also feature automated recycling truck demonstrations and refreshments provided by Coca-Cola.

The rain location for the vent is the Bottle Cap Suite of the World of Coca Cola.  Parking will be provided in the Pemberton Place parking deck between Centennial Olympic Park Drive and Luckie Street.
