treesaleThe 10th Annual Trees Atlanta Tree Sale will be held on October 10 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the new Trees Atlanta Kendeda Center,  255 Chester Ave.

The Trees Atlanta Tree Sale, which takes place every October, features more than 1,000 plants including 200 species of trees, shrubs, and tree-friendly vines.  This year’s sale will focus on shade trees and trees native to Atlanta.

Trees to look for at this year’s sale include beech, swamp chestnut oak, ostrya, mockernut hickory, turkey oak, walnut, Virginia pine, yellow berried American holly, contorted weeping redbud, weeping bald cypress, dwarf bald cypress, yellowwood, and paw paw. We will also offer non-invasive, unusual, and exotic tree and plant varieties such as camellia, ginkgo (including 15-gallon ‘Princeton Sentry’), dawn redwood, and a variety of columnar parrotia.

Proceeds from the sale benefit NeighborWoods, Trees Atlanta’s volunteer tree planting and conservation program.  For more information about Trees Atlanta or the Tenth Annual Trees Atlanta Tree Sale, visit www.TreesAtlanta.org or call 404-522-4097.
