Hallelujah! Legendary troubadour Leonard Cohen is on his first American tour in 15 years and stops in Atlanta on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at The Fabulous Fox Theatre. Tickets are on sale this morning via Ticketmaster.com. Cohen is known for his hits such as Hallelujah, Everybody Knows, Suzanne, First We Take Manhattan, I’m Your Man and many, many more. His recent Live in London album shows that Cohen is still a mesmerizing performer, so grab a ticket if you can.

Marianne Faithfull gives her first concert in Atlanta since the ’70s with a stop at Variety Playhouse in Little Five Points on Oct. 22 (reschedule from Oct. 20 — maybe she didn’t want to miss Cohen?). Faithfull is on tour in support of her album of covers, Easy Come, Easy Go. She’s had a string of critically acclaimed albums over the last few years, working with PJ Harvey and Nick Cave to create modern ballads that suit her gravelly vocal stylings. Faithfull, best known in the ’60s for her tune, As Tears Go By, survived a hellish stint as a drug addict to re-emerge in 1979 with Broken English, which includes some of her best songs like The Ballad of Lucy Jordan, Why’d Ya Do It and the title track. Since then, she’s been in films, in theater and recorded everything from standards to film scores.
